Bible Session 9-10-12 For 12 and Older Group
Put the World on Hold
Do you ever feel like you have enough time in the morning?
Scientific study after scientific study after scientific study has proven that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Why?
Answers given: need fuel, get started
After "starving" all night, your body and brain need a little boost in the morning to give you the energy to get through the day successfully. You need to start off on the right foot heading in the right direction or the rest of your day is going to be like slogging through mud dragging a garbage bag full of rocks.
The same is true spiritually. You've got to start your day off right!
Now you're sitting there saying "wait a minute! We just discussed how little time I have in the morning. Now you want me to cram in God?
No!
I want you to put the world on hold. I want you to realize that your day will go much better if you get your "Bible breakfast" as well as your cereal.
Challenge: For the next week, I want you to read a small selection from the book of Proverbs each morning before you drag yourself out of bed. Tomorrow's reading is the longest at 6 verses. The rest are only one or two. Please take this paper to stick by your bed to remind you.
