1. Read Matthew 26:36-46. How was Gethsemane a picture of the suffering Jesus had to face? Does his suffering help you to face the possibility of persecution in your own life? If so, how?

2. Do you think most Christians in our culture expect to suffer for following Jesus? Should they? Why or why not? Read John 15:18-23.

3. If you are a disciple of Christ, did you anticipate such a price when you decided to follow Jesus? If you are not a disciple, how does learning of this suffering affect your decision making process about becoming a disciple?

One of our skate parents informed me tonight that the Lake Forest Park Fire Department is selling skate helmets for $10, so if you are short on cash and in need of a helmet, check out the Lake Forest Park Fire Department.
