Help Needed - Monday!!!

Friends,

We desperately need help setting up and tearing down this Monday night. Micki will not be there to assist Jeremy with set up as a member of her family is having surgery, and she must be with her. Additionally, my husband who usually handles tear down with the kids will be unavailable this Monday night due to a work obligation, so any extra hands for tear down would also be appreciated.

Thank you,

Brett

2009 A Year In Review - VIDEO

This is my first time making a video, so cut me a little slack and just enjoy the show.

NOTE: I have had several people tell me that they cannot view the video via the blog. If you are having this problem and would like to watch the video, please check it out at any of our other accounts: MySpace, Facebook, Ning, or Shutterfly. Thank you.

Games Wanted

The following games have been requested by the teens. If you have any of these sitting on a shelf collecting dust and wasting space, please consider donating them. Thank you.

Chutes and Ladders
Candyland
Payday
Connect 4
Decks of regular playing cards
Stadium Checkers

Games can be dropped off at skate night any Monday night, or you can schedule with me to pick them up from you.

Thank you.

Thanks from Jamaica

This email came through on December 24th...

I can not thank you and your guys enough for the gift! I learned about it today and was touched that the kids wanted to designate the gift to the Jamaican Skatepark Fund!!

Please tell everyone how thankful we are. We just had our first annual skate camp here in Jamaica and it was a huge success!

Much love!

in His hands and for His glory!

Skate Night - BFC Visit

Tonight the guys from BFC (Boarders for Christ) came to Skate Night for a visit and to help out in my absence. The report I received from my volunteers is that the kids loved having BFC and that Sky did a great job sharing his testimony.

We hope that the BFC crew will visit us again soon. Thanks to BFC for coming alongside our ministry and sharing this time with our youth; you are always welcome in our house.

Skate Night Begins for 2010

Skate Night starts again tonight. The pizza has been ordered. The van has left my house and has arrived at the church. Set up has started.

If you can, come skate tonight! It's the first of the month, so scooters are allowed.

Micki will be running the show, but I might stop by at the end of the night with Isaac, so Jason can drive the van home. :)

Next week we have a special guest - Boarders for Christ!

Personal Study Questions - December 14th

PERSONAL STUDY - 2 Points if turned in December 21st

1. In the video, Ray (the teacher) says that Paul felt that Antioch is “Where I’m supposed to be.” Do you feel like you are where you are supposed to be?

2. In the video, Ray says that Paul wants to go to Rome, but God has other plans first. God has things he needs Paul to do before he allows him to go to Rome. If you were Paul, excited to get to Rome, how would you feel about God having other things for you to do first?

3. In the video, Ray says that God has something he wants to show Paul. What does God want to show you? Are you looking for an answer to that question? Are you seeking after God?

4. What is the significance to us that Jesus opened the door for Gentiles to be saved and not just Jews?
