Location Mobius Hall, Cascadia College, 18345 Campus Way NE, Bothell, WA 98011

Join us for Cascadia's first ever Worship Night!! GC Band from City Church will be leading worship and Pastor Mark Venti will be sharing a word. Don't miss out on this awesome opportunity to worship God, hear of His love for you, and connect with new people. EVERYONE is invited- young, old, student, non-student, Christian, not Christian- so make sure you invite your friends! Let's pack out that hall for the glory of God and make His name known in our community!

Back from vacation and planning for the future

My husband, our son, and I just returned from a vacation in Virginia. We had a great time and I was able to spend a lot of time reflecting on God's provision, grace, and direction. I am looking forward to this next year with MAD Skates and hope that you all are as well.

Tonight we have Micki presenting the word and free pizza for everyone. We will not be meeting next week for the memorial day holiday, so if you still want to come in May! Come tonight!

Bible Session Notes - May 2nd

What Is God Like? A Look at Isaiah 40

He is like a Shepherd
Matthew 18:10-14
*God, like a shepherd, wants to save ALL of the sheep.
Isaiah 40:11
*Isaiah says that he tends his flock, gathers the lambs, carries them close, and gently leads. God will take care of you and cares for you.
Psalm 23:1
*David says God will not leave you wanting. If you truly commit your life, desires, dreams to God, His will is perfect for you, and you will want nothing you do not have. The hard part is truly giving everything over to God.

Immense and Incomprehensible (Can’t understand)
Isaiah 40:12-17
*God is huge! He marked off the heavens with his hand.
Psalm 33:6
*By his words the heavens were made

Incomparable
Isaiah 40:18-25
*No one can make an accurate depiction of God. No one is equal to God.
*Side note – Think about what in your life is taking the place of God. What are you “worshipping” instead of God? Music? Sleep? Friends? Motorcycles? Toys? What of those things would you not be willing to give up if God asked you to “leave it all and follow me.” What “idols” are in the way of your relationship with God?

Powerful
Isaiah 40:26
*Because of His great power and strength, not one of them is missing. He is able to track all the stars; He is able to track you.
Psalm 46:1
*God is our strength. Not only is God strong, but through Him, we are made strong.
Philippians 4:13

Everlasting
Isaiah 40:28-31
*God is like the Energizer Bunny. He just keeps going and going and going. Only, God is not battery operated. He will never run out of power.
*Like God is everlasting, with God’s strength you too can run and not grow weary.

Bottom Line: What is God Like?
He is like a shepherd
Immense and Incomprehensible
Incomparable
Powerful
Everlasting
