Skate Ministry In Guatamala

I love to share about skate ministry around the world, so here's a link to a new ministry in Guatamala. http://www.inhisstepsinternational.org/currentevents/20090127.html

Pray for Mynor as he begins his journey, and pray for the youth that come in contact with our Savior through this ministry.

God bless.

Skate Night - Waivers & $$$

To all skate night participants,

Please be sure to bring your parent or legal guardian with you to skate night. He/She must sign the waiver in front of a Skate Night staff member in order for you to skate.

There will be pizza, snacks, and pop available to purchase, so bring a few dollars along if you would like to eat with us.

We're looking forward to seeing you all there.

URGENT - $8 to Skate Update

Although we have received $200 through our $8 to Skate fundraising drive, we are still in need of the other $600! We must have the money in our bank by Monday morning, January 26th, or we will not be able to open the doors on February 2nd.

Fliers advertising the function have gone out to all the local churches, and we are printing out fliers to hand to local skaters as we see them over the next 2 weekends. Considering the weather around here and the great indoor location we have, I believe we are going to see a healthy number of skate boarders on our first night.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

To our friends who have already donated, a huge THANK YOU! If you haven't had a chance to donate yet, please do so quickly. Time is running out.

Go to www.madskates.com and click "DONATE" at the bottom of the screen to donate online through a secure server, or you may mail a check to M.A.D. Skates, 21705 2nd Avenue SE, Bothell, WA 98021.

$8 to Skate!

Skate Night is starting, but we must obtain insurance promptly!

We need an additional $800 in order to buy our skate insurance for the year.

So, I'm calling upon you all to send just $8! If 100 people send just $8, we'll have exactly what we need.$8 to Skate!

That's all it takes. Just $8. What is $8 to most of us? A couple of Starbucks drinks? A cheeseburger at Red Robin? Two cases of Reeds Original Ginger Ale?

What is $8 to a skater in the Bothell/Kenmore area? An open door. A safe, warm, and dry place to skate. A place to hear the Word of God. A place to build relationships.

Please send your tax deductible donation of $8 to
M.A.D. Skates & Rec Center
21705 2nd Avenue SE
Bothell, WA 98021

or submit a payment via Paypal using the button to the right of the screen.

Thanks so much for your help! Remember - $8 to Skate!

Christmas Came and Went - Full of Joy & Lots of Snow

Seattle isn't known for its snowstorms or white Christmastimes. But this year, we got both! When the snow first hit, I thought it would be a brilliant idea to write "MERRY CHRISTMAS" in the snow on the windshield of our new skate van. Jason took a few pictures in hopes that I would post them on here and wish you all a very Merry Christmas. However, my time was limited as it was my parents 40th anniversary this Christmas Eve, and we had a celebration. This was followed by three days of Christmas celebration and even more snow.

You'd think that in all the time I was stuck at home unable to get off of our gigantic hill I would have taken a moment to shoot you all a brief update. However, it seems God had different plans for me, and I spent most of the break re-evaluating my relationship with God, growing in His love, and learning about grace. It was time well spent.

So as to not leave you "out in the cold" with no update, I'm sending this out with good cheer, pictures of the M.A.D. Mobile in the snow, and a hope for 2009! Skate Night is near! See you soon...
