On July 7th, we accepted the resignation of Jim Nesbit from our board. Jim has been our Treasurer since day one, and he will be missed.
First I want to publicly thank Jim for all of the time and energy he put into helping me personally with MAD Skates, for setting up a simple and manageable format for tracking our finances, for extending his day to meet with us for board meetings even though he still had to drive back to Longview after an entire day of work, and for always keeping us in his prayers. THANK YOU JIM!
Secondly, I am sending out a request for someone to fill his position. Currently I am handling the Treasurer position duties until we can find a suitable replacement. This is temporary "fix" as we are required to have 5 board members. This is a very small business with minimal time commitment needed on your part. We meet quarterly as a board and so far have not needed any "special meetings" beyond the four scheduled meetings each year.
